Backup Wii game asks for Wii System Update?
I bought a pre-modded wii that runs backup games very well. But when I insert Super Mario Galaxy or Super Smash Bros Brawl, it says that I should perform a wii system update that will delete any unauuthorized software. The version is 4.0U. I didn’t update and now I don’t know what to do to play these two games. The unique channels that I noticed are Neogamma R6 and Homebrew Channel.
Somewhere on the internet is a channel or something of the like that will remove that prompt to update. I highly recommend you do not update to 4.2 if you plan on playing a modded Wii.

Yes it is, though it is illegal, you have 2 choices:
Hombrew channel http://hbc.hackmii.com/ with this you could use a HDD and backup loader so you dont have to burn DVDs.
or a mod chip http://www.wii-modchips.com/

A cracked wii and unlocked wii allow you to download games off the internet and burn them onto a CD and lets you play them also you can get all the vertual console games for free but its illegal.

I hacked my 4.0 wii with bannerbomb and it works good.
Just make sure you do your research watch youtube videos and make sure you install it right and you will be fine.
