How can I update my wii without losing my backup loader.?

I bought a wii that was modded to be able to play burnt copies of games. I know nothing about modding a wii. I want to be able to access the wiishop channel (want to be able to buy games, watch netflix, etc.) but I need the latest updates to do so. the latest updates say they will remove "unauthorized modifications". How do I keep my backup loader while being able to update my wii so I can get on wii shop?

You can’t. You would have to remod your Wii after installing the update. Each update intentionally breaks all known mods, so if you update, you’ll have to find a new mod that works with the current update.

To unlock different tracks you have to play the other tracks in single player mode and at least get 1st place in all of them. They will reward you with new tracks once you do that.

Oh and for anyone who points it out, I am aware of THAT shortcut. I just wasn’t aware that it works on the Wii’s version of this course. Doing it once would make this run even easier to do.

Why can you only use a 2GB SD card to hack a Wii?

I only have a 4GB and my Wii can read it so I don’t wanna go out to the store and buy a new one.

The older specification for SD cards had a maximum of 2GB. Older readers (and the Wii may be such) cannot read the newer High Density SD cards.
