I want to hack my Wii but I’m afraid it will brick?
I am really thinking about hacking my Wii, but I am worried I will brick it later on. People told me BootMii works well, but I’ve heard some people’s Wiis were not recovered using it. Should I risk hacking my Wii? I just dont want to break it and having to buy a new one.
OK here’s the deal. Bootmii loaded as boot 2 is complete Brick protection.
If you hack your Wii correctly and do not update it afterward you will not brick it.
I repeat if you hack your Wii DO NOT update it afterward.
Here is a site with a guide on how to hack a 4.2u wii it also shows how to load Priiloader which is also a really good brick protection. Plus it lets you block all updates from game discs and online.

This is my 1st battle course texture hack. It features Funky Stadium (skate_battle.szs) transformed into a grassy field. This texture hack also features graphics from Clan Solo, plus a few billboards I made. The most mentionable feature is that instead of collecting coins, you collect poison mushroom drops! The teams with the most poison mushroom drops wins the battle! How nice!
New textures imported from DS Peach Gardens (old_ds_garden.szs). Solo Clan banner by RosalinaX, all other graphics done by me. Music is “Flowers – by TERRA” hacked from Dance Dance Revolution SuperNova. (I know, it cuts off in the middle due to software limitations, I apologize.)

A backed up wii game (.iso format, exactly 4,699,979,776 bytes)
If you’re on a mac, just use the Disk Utility included in OSX.
This will also work for backed up gamecube games.
